Obituary of Sueleslie Vera Clemens

Sueleslie Vera Clemens, 94, of Reeves Ave., Fairmont, WV, passed away early Saturday morning in United Hospital Center in Clarksburg, WV.   She was born May 12, 1923 in Marion County, WV, daughter of the late Harry and Estella Dodd Hager.   She was preceded in death by her husband Virgil Clemens, who died in 2007.   Sue was a Christian by faith.   She last attended the former Christian Missionary Alliance Church in Fairmont, WV.   She was a graduate of East Fairmont High School.   She was employed at Thorofare Market, on Country Club Rd., Fairmont, WV, with 32 years of service as a cashier.   Sue enjoyed traveling the world with her travel club.   She also loved making crafts and shopping.   Sue spent many summers living at her Colfax river camp.  She truly enjoyed spending time on the river with her family.   She was loved tremendously and was cared for by Jerod, Derek, and Zane.   Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Satterfield of Amarillo, TX,   6 grandchildren, Sam and Janit Satterfield, Kimberly Graham, Thomas Satterfield, Deanna Satterfield, Veann Banks, and Richard Sims,   23 great grandchildren, 13 great great grandchildren and one soon to be born,   and a sister, Laura King of Fairmont, WV.   She was preceded in death by a daughter, Priscilla Sims,   a brother, Billy Marshall Hager,  and 2 grandchildren, Daniel Satterfield and Glen Sims.   Family and friends may call at Ford Funeral Home, Ford Chapel, 201 Columbia St., Fairmont, WV from 11am until 1pm on Thursday, 4-19-2018.   Funeral services will be held in the funeral home Thursday at 1pm, with Pastor Jeff Perine officiating.   Entombment will follow in Grandview Memorial Gardens in Fairmont, WV.
