Family, I am so sorry for your loss. Savage was my Soldier in the S-1 Office in the Group Support Battalion, 3rd Special Forces Group (Airborne), Fort Bragg, NC. We deployed together to Afghanistan were he worked with me in the Admin Office down range. He made me laugh all the time with his jokes and outgoing personality. He was very outspoken and a born leader. He learned all aspects of his job and when I arrived to the unit, he made my job easier by showing me the ropes. He quickly became like a son to me and part of my family. I enjoyed serving with him and I will miss him. I will keep you all in my prayers.

My heart is aching and I am in disbelief that Mr. Boo is gone. He was such a wonderful soul. I watched him grow from a young age into a wonderful loving young adult. I met Maurice Savage in 2006 when he first came to Fort Bragg. He was one of my first Soldiers. I remember him being very funny! He loved to make others laugh and he was a hard worker. I am very sad and heartbroken to hear he has passed. May we meet again when I get to heaven. RIP always my Soldier.
