Obituary of Ralph Edward Coogle, Jr

Ralph Edward Coogle Jr., 68, of Fairmont, passed away on Friday, July 13, 2018, at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown. Ralph was born in Fairmont on July 25, 1949, a son of the late Ralph Edward Coogle and Betty Hamilton Coogle.

Mr. Coogle is survived by his son, Chad "Buck" Coogle and his wife Jenny of Fairmont; a granddaughter, Anastacia Lynn Coogle of Fairmont; a step-granddaughter, Emalee Nicholas of Mannington; and a sister, Brenda Cogar of Virginia, six nieces, Joy, Donna, Tracey, Belinda, Melissa, andBettyjean, and a very special friend, Jocilla Merrifield of Fairmont

In addition to his parents, Ralph was preceded in death by his sisters, Carolyn Jean Nuzum and Joyce Wright, and his nephew Brad 

Ralph was a 1967 graduate of East Fairmont High School and a proud veteran, serving in the Marines during the Vietnam War. He worked for the Consolidated Coal Company, last working at the Loverage Mine. He was a true outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing with family and friends.

The family will receive friends at Ford Funeral Home, 201 Columbia St., Fairmont, WV 26554, on Monday, July 16, 2018, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and on Tuesday, July 17, 2018, from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. The funeral will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday, July 17, 2018, at 10 a.m. with Reverend Stanley Merrifield officiating. A committal service will follow at West Virginia National Cemetery in Pruntytown, WV with full military rites being conducted by the Marion County Veteran’s Council.
