Obituary of Tex Raymond Hughes
Tex Raymond Hughes, 85, of Grafton, passed away on Sunday, September 2, 2018, at United Hospital Center in Bridgeport. He was born on May 12, 1933, a son of the late Edgar Jennings Hughes and Nettie Evans Hughes. He is survived by his loving wife, Martha Delores Nottingham Hughes.
In addition to his wife, Tex is survived by two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Florene Kendall of Fairmont and Mrs. Donnie (Patricia) Nottingham of Durbin and a brother-in-law, Harley K. Nottingham Jr. and his wife Maxine of Fairmont.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Hughes was preceded in death by his son, Nathan Evans Hughes and all of his siblings.
Tex was a graduate of Fairmont State College, a member of Fairmont Free Methodist Church and an avid gardener. He worked as a chemist at the Albright Power Station from 1957 until 1971 and then at the Harrison Power Station from 1971 until his retirement in 1995.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at the Fairmont Free Methodist Church, 910 Morgantown Ave., Fairmont, WV 26554, on Saturday, September 15, 2018, at 12 noon with Pastor Carl Radcliff officiating.
