Obituary of Bradley James Ryan Sr.

Bradley James Ryan Sr. (Birddog), 77, of Rivesville, passed away on Thursday, September 20, 2018, at his residence. He was born on March 11, 1941, a son of the late Theodore Parrish Ryan Sr. and Hazel Elizabeth Herron Ryan. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Judith Diane Wilson Ryan.

Birddog is survived by a son, Donald Ryan and his wife Melinda of Darien, WI; a daughter, Beth Hixenbaugh and her husband Allen of Blacksville; five grandchildren, Kimberly Boyce, Jimmy (Bubby) Williams, Cynthia Hanning, Vanessa Ryan and Allen Ryan; great-grandchildren, Damien and Bentley; three brothers, Theodore Ryan of Barrckville, Daniel Ryan and his wife Barbara of Rivesville, and Kenneth Ryan and his wife Regina of Morgantown; as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife and parents, Birddog was preceded in death by a son, Bradley James Ryan Jr. and a sister-in-law, Nancy Ryan.

The family will receive friends at Ford Funeral Home, DeGarmo Chapel, 207 Second St., Rivesville, WV 26588, on Monday, September 24, 2018, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and on Tuesday, September 25, 2018, from 12 noon until 1 p.m. The funeral will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday at 1 p.m. A committal service will follow at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens in Westover.
