Keith was the gentle giant of the Washington stage who for decades supported, helped and encouraged so many involved in the theatre, myself included. It's hard to imagine not being able to enjoy a chat with him over a glass of Jamesons, but I shall always fondly remember the times I did. Keith was kind and generous man who will be missed but never forgotten.
If there is a heaven, I'm sure Keith will be there in the celestial lit pit reading away, looking for the next break-out play!
My deepest sympathies to Keith's family and friends. Keith was instrumental in seeing my first ten-minute play produced at The Source Theatre in Washington, DC and continued to champion and encourage my work and the works of many playwrights. I hadn't seen him for some time and then he unexpectedly showed up for a book signing of mine a few years back. I was surprised and touched by this gesture. He was still championing my writing years after we had first met. Rest in peace, Keith.
