Obituary of David Lynn Stewart
Mr. David Lynn Stewart, 74 years of age of Driftwood Road, Bridgeport, WV passed away on Monday, December 3, 2018 at United Hospital Center, Bridgeport, WV. He was born March 31, 1944 in Graysville, PA, the son of the late Kenneth and Margaret Harvey Stewart.
He is survived by his wife Loretta “Che” Stewart; two step-sons Tony Folio and his wife Marsha of Bridgeport, WV and Michael Folio and wife Lori of Hurricane, WV; a sister Margaret Jackson and her husband Jim of Waynesburg, PA; two nieces Deborah Hildreth and her husband Charles of Nineveh, PA and Barbara Venesky and her husband James of Gold Canyon, AZ and three nephews John Bristor and wife Deborah of Waynesburg, PA, Kenneth Stewart and his wife Monica of Lexington, KY and Jack Stewart and his wife Belinda of Lexington, KY. He was also preceded in death by his first wife Christa Meindl Stewart in 2012, and two brothers Ken Stewart and Carter Stewart.
David retired as a Sergeant Major in the United States Army with twenty-six years of service to his country. After relocating to Bridgeport, he worked at Carders Motors for the last few years.
Friends will be received at the Nineveh United Methodist Church, 1741 Browns Creek Road, Nineveh, PA on Tuesday, from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM. The funeral service will be held in the church on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at 11:00 AM with Reverend Scott Lawrence presiding. The interment will held at the committal shelter of the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville, PA at 1:30 PM with the Brentwood VFW Post 1810 Honor Guard providing full military honors.
