Obituary of Carol Frances Eli

     Carol Frances Lough Eli, 78 years of age of Hamill Avenue, Clarksburg, WV went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, March 15, 2019 at West Virginia University Hospitals, Ruby Memorial, Morgantown, WV.  She was born September 23, 1940, the daughter of the late Dallas and Elizabeth Virginia Marozzi Lough.

     She was the wife of David A. Eli for forty-nine years.  She was the proud mother of two sons David S. Eli of Harmon, WV and Mark William Eli and his wife Judy of Marshville, WV.  She was a grandmother to Stacey and Eddie Randolph and their daughters Mackenzie and Brooklyn of Bridgeport, WV; Markie and Michael Wolfe and their sons Elijah and Logan of Parkersburg, WV; Steven Eli and his son Jordan of Clarksburg, WV; Mary Jane Ashley of Charleston, WV and Jace Johnson of Clarksburg, WV; a brother Dallas Duane Lough of West Milford, WV; a sister Sharon Kay Illig and her husband David of West Milford, WV.  She was also preceded in death by a brother Roger Lough.

     Carol attended North View Grade School in Clarksburg and graduated from Charleston High School in 1958.  While in Charleston, she worked at Mangels Dress Shop and held a position with the Department of Agriculture.  While residing in Oho, she worked as a Physicians Assistant.  Her real love was being a wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker.  She enjoyed dancing with her husband, karaoke, music, reading, writing poetry and songs and playing golf.  She once made a hole-in-one at Bel Meadows Country Club on the 16th hole. She loved spending time with her family and friends and the annual family reunions.

    Her favorite Bible verse was John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that who so every believeth in him shall not perish but have ever lasting life.”

     The family request in lieu of flowers donations be made in Carol’s memory to the West Virginia University Children’s Hospital, PO Box 8200, Morgantown, WV 26506-8200.

     Friends will be received at the Ford Funeral Home, 215 East Main Street, Bridgeport, WV on Tuesday from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM.  The funeral service will be celebrated in the funeral home on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Jim Sanders presiding.  The interment will follow in the Stonewall Park Cemetery, Stonewood, WV.  Condolences may be extended to the family at www.fordfuneralhomes.com.  The Eli family has entrusted the care and arrangements to the Ford Funeral Home, 215 East Main Street, Bridgeport, WV.
