Obituary of Margaret Sinsel Raikes

     Margaret Sinsel Raikes, 99 years of age of Bridgeport, WV passed away on Sunday, May 12, 2019 at Meadowview Manor Health Care Center in Bridgeport.  She was born February 15, 1920 in Bridgeport, WV the daughter of the late Robert and Lelia Ashcraft Barnes.  She was preceded in death by her first husband Earl Lee Sinsel and her second husband Willis Lee Raikes.

     She is survived by a daughter Laverne Gasparino of Hartford, CT; a daughter-in-law Barbara Kyer of Fairmont and several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.  She is also survived by Willis’s two sons.  She was also preceded in death by a son Clark Sinsel.

     Margaret was a member of Bridgeport Baptist Church.  She enjoyed being a member of the Harrison County Senior Citizens and volunteering at Shepherds Corner in Bridgeport.

     Friends will be received at Ford Funeral Home, 215 East Main Street, Bridgeport, WV on Monday from 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM.  The funeral service will be celebrated in the funeral home on Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Charles V.
