I was sad to hear of Mr. Martin's passing. I have a lot of wonderful memories of family vacations, and spending time at your home. My thoughts and prayers are with your family. When I was at Ohio Valley College, my room was furnished by your family so I thought of you then too. I will continue to pray for comfort and peace.

We were so sorry to hear of Mr. Martin’s passing. He was the true epitome of a gentleman! He was very proud of his children & grandchildren. The community has lost a great contributor! All of you are in our thoughts & prayers.

As a former board member with Bob at Ohio Valley University, I can say with no hesitation that Bob Martin was one of the finest men I have met. We served on the Development Committee together and Bob was a real contributor of fresh ideas and encouragement. Times were often bleak, wondering how the school was going to make the next payroll or pay the next mortgage payment. But with Bob's encouragement and many prayers somehow we made it through those times. He and Lucille were always generous contributors to Ohio Valley, and their love for Christian education was always evident. My life has been a little better because I have known Bob Martin. May he rest in peace with the Lord.

Bob Martin was a tremendous human being who was always looking to help others and was self-deprecating about his many achievements. He never let anyone pick a check and perhaps could be described generous to a fault. His life embodied his faith and his loss will be felt throughout the community. I will miss his smile, his sense of humor, and his inspiration.

Bob and Lucille gave my husband, Bill VanGilder, a beautiful memorial at Mt. Zion Cemetery. Bill worked for them at the time of his death and I have always been thankful that he was doing what he loved- being outdoors and working with the trees. Bob always had a smile and hug for you. Praying that God will wrap His arms of love around the family and comfort them. You are loved. Debbie
