Obituary of Patricia Ann Hoffman

     Mrs. Patricia Ann Hoffman, 86 years of age of Morgantown and formerly of Fairmont passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2019 at the residence of her son.   She was born July 25, 1932 in Fairmont,WV the daughter of the late Bernard and Grace Knapp Brannon.  She was preceded in death by her husband Daniel Hoffman in 2007.

     She is survived by four sons Mark Hoffman and his wife Nancy of Fairmont, WV, David Hoffman and his wife Melanie of Huntington, WV, John Hoffman and his wife Theresa of Austin, TX and Jeffrey Hoffman of Morgantown, WV; three grandchildren Kyle Hoffman and his wife Alana of Fairmont, WV, John Hoffman of Dallas, TX and Patrick Hoffman and his wife Stella of Dallas, TX and one great grandson Andrew Hoffman.

     Patti was a 1950 graduate from East Fairmont High School.  She was a member and varsity letter winner of the West Virginia State Championship girls basketball team which represented East Fairmont. While raising her family in Fairmont, she was an active member of Immaculate Conception Church.  She served for many years as president of the Women’s Society at church.   She loved being a homemaker and would upholster furniture for friends.

     Following her husband’s retirement, they moved to Frostproof, FL to enjoy the warm weather of the south.  She was an avid golfer and was credited with making two holes-in-one. 

     A private memorial mass was held at St. Francis Catholic church in Morgantown.
