Obituary of Darlyne Boatwright Jarvis
Darlyne Boatwright Jarvis, 74, of Linnann Lane, Fairmont, WV, died early Friday morning in her residence, surrounded by her family. She was born February 24, 1942 in Fairmont, WV, daughter of the late Brooks Boatwright and Marge and John Teano. She was preceded in death by her husband Don Jarvis (married 40 years). Darlyne was a member of Benton’s Ferry United Methodist Church, where she served as organist. She later attended Gateway United Methodist Church. She retired from Morgan’s Auto of Fairmont, where she served as the book keeper, with 12 years of service. She truly loved her family and grandchildren. She enjoyed family vacations to Myrtle Beach. She enjoyed researching genealogy and playing video games with her grandchildren. Survivors include a son and his wife, Scott and Vicky Jarvis of Mannington, WV, 2 daughters; Terri Walker of Fairmont, WV and Tracy and her husband Rick Potesta of Fairmont, WV, 11 grandchildren; Scott Goodwin, Nicole and Adam Keener, Emily and Adam Bomer, Jack Walker, Alexis Potesta, Grace Walker, Lucy Walker, Eli Jarvis, Amanda and Justin Stover, Charlie and Joe Rietz, and Chelsea Rinehart, 6 great grandchildren, Colbi VanGilder, Holton Keener, Xander and Olivia Rietz, and Nicolas and Ethan Stover, several special friends including Mark Lockhart of Fairmont, WV, Lucy Satterfield of Fairmont, WV, Sharon Stevens of Mannington, WV, and Angie Hoskinson Jordan of Georgia. Family and friends may call at Ford Funeral Home, Ford Chapel, 201 Columbia St., Fairmont, WV from 6pm until 8pm on Sunday, 2pm until 8pm on Monday, and 11am until 12noon on Tuesday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home Tuesday, 6-7-2015, at 12noon, with Pastor Rob Bennett officiating. Burial will follow in Arnettsville Cemetery in Arnettsville, WV.
