Obituary of Marvin "J.R." Lee Cottrill

Marvin “J.R.” Lee Cottrill, 53, of Fairmont, passed away on Monday, August 26, 2019, at Fairmont Regional Medical Center. He was born in Omaha, NE on May 24, 1966, a son of Martin Lee Cottrill and Alta Ray McCarty Cottrill.

In addition to his parents, J.R. is survived by his loving wife, Ardella Louise LeBlond Cottrill; his children, Jonathen, Jessica, Lee, and Bobby Cottrill; four grandchildren, Joseph “J.J.”, Alisha, Nevaeh, and Jacob; a brother, Bob; two sisters, Tempest and Kitty; his dog, Pepper Jack; several nieces and nephews; and many friends.

J.R. was preceded in death by his grandparents; three brothers, David, Marty, and Jamie; and a sister, Karen.

J.R. worked as a mechanic at Lee’s Auto Repair. He enjoyed watching television, listening to music, and spending time with family and friends.

The family requests memorial contributions be made in J.R.’s memory to Ford Funeral Home, 201 Columbia St., Fairmont, WV 26554, to assist with funeral expenses.
