Obituary of Woodrow A. Fry Jr.

Woodrow A. Fry Jr., 82 of Barrackville, West Virginia died Monday, June 6, 2016 in the Genesis Healthcare Tygart Center. He was born August 25, 1933 in Ceredo, WV a son of the late Woodrow Augustus Fry Sr. & Bonnie Justine Reynolds Fry. He was preceded in death by his wife Janie Lou Viers Fry. He is survived by a daughter and son in law Karen Diane & Ronald Rhoades of Barrackville, WV, two sons and a daughter in law Steven Craig & Larrita Fry of Houston, TX and Jeffrey Dale Fry of Houston, TX, five grandchildren Jason Chad Rhoades & his wife Tisha, Sean Michael Rhoades, Mandi Kaye St. Germaine & her husband Kenny, Kristen Leigh Fry & her fiancé Chris Solari and Lindsey Jane Fry, four great grandchildren Brittany Nicole Rhoades, Bryce Nicholas Rhoades, Khloe St. Germaine and Milana St. Germaine and good friends Richard Gump and Pete Pell. He was preceded in death by a sister Tommie Jean Staley and an infant brother. Mr. Fry was a retired Quality Supervisor for the Owens-Illinios Corp. of Fairmont, WV with 35 years of service. He retired in 1992 and then moved to St. Augustine, Florida. He served his country in the United States Army from 1950-1957 and was stationed in Germany from 1956-1957. Mr. Fry graduated from Wayne High School and Marshall University. Memorial contributions may be made to the Louis A. Johnson V.A. Medical Center, One Nedical Center Drive, Clarksburg, WV 26301. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Ford Funeral Home, Ford Chapel, 201 Columbia Street, Fairmont, WV 26554. There will be no visitation or funeral service. A private memorial service and committal will be held at a later time for the family in the Christian Cemetery in Wayne County, WV with Pastor Carl Radcliffe officiating.
