Obituary of Audrey Jane Keeley Sidow
Audrey Jane Keeley Sidow passed away Tuesday, June 7 2016 at the Mapleshire Nursing Home in Morgantown, WV. She was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota on October 6, 1924, the daughter of the late Frank and Alice May Duff Keely. She was also preceded in death by her husband Dr. Robert J. Sidow.
Mrs. Sidow was a homemaker. She was a graduate of St. Mary’s School of Nursing at Mayo Clinic. She was a member of the St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church in which she was a member of the St. Peter’s Choir and the St. Theresa Circle. She was very active in the community participating in the Fairmont Junior League, Fairmont General Hospital Auxiliary, Fairmont Field Club, Marion County Food Pantry, Marion County Senior Citizens, Fairmont Garden Club, and a volunteer for Hope Inc. She enjoyed playing Bridge with her friends.
The family would like to give special thanks to Amedysis Hospice and the staff of the Mapleshire Nursing Home for all the love, care and support.
Mrs. Sidow is survived by her two sons and their wives Robert and Ginny Sidow of Frederick, MD and Kevin and Nancy Sidow of San Francisco, CA. She is also survived by her four daughters and their husbands: Elizabeth and Dr. Lloyd Kurth of Morgantown, WV, Gretchen & Dr. Mark Weiser of Lexington, NC, Jennifer and Chuck Matala of Morgantown, WV and Meg Jordan of Bethlehem, PA. She is also survived by her identical twin sister Elizabeth McCarthy of Pompano, Beach FL and 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son-in-law John B. Jordan.
The family will receive friends at the Ford Funeral Home/ RC Jones Chapel 1410 Country Club Rd., Fairmont, West Virginia, 26554 on Thursday June 09 from 4-8 PM. A Catholic Vigil will be recited during the visitation Thursday Evening. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at the St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, 407 Jackson St. Fairmont, WV 26554 on Friday at 10:00.
