Obituary of Patricia Mae Donaldson
Patricia Mae Donaldson, 87, of Westerville, OH, formerly of Fairmont, met her Lord and Savior on June 13, 2016, at Mount Carmel St. Ann’s Hospital in Westerville, OH. She was born May 29, 1929, in Fairmont to the late Walter Rex and Laura M. Wolfe Downey. She was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence Dale Donaldson on November 28, 2015.
Mrs. Donaldson was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She was a member of Trinity Assembly of God in Fairmont, WV, where she was very active in choir, children’s church, the women’s ministry team and the Young At Heart Sunday school class. She was formerly a member at Highland Avenue United Methodist church where she participated in choir, youth and women’s ministry. When she wasn’t making her famous spaghetti sauce or peanut butter candy, Patty enjoyed traveling with good friends and watching football. You could often find her wearing her Pittsburgh Steelers shoes, accompanied by her Steelers purse and blanket. Anyone who knew Patty knew she was their #1 fan.
She is survived by her daughters: Larri Pat Donaldson of Virginia Beach, VA; Terri Ann Donaldson (John) Martino of Morganton, NC; and Sherri Dale Donaldson (Greg) Peters of Reynoldsburg, OH; 5 grandchildren: Tricia Martino (Scott) Hogan of IL; Jona Martino (Hunt) Fitzgerald of NC; Jay (Mailee) Martino of NC; Rosalie Peters (Matthew) Fenner of OH, and James (Elke) Peters of OH; 8 great grandchildren: Gavin, Elliot, and Evan Martino; Cece, Layla, and Rhys Fitzgerald; Kendall and Austin Peters; her sister-in-law Ruth Downey of Fairmont, as well as numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.

Visitation will be held at the Ford Funeral Home, 201 Columbia Street, Fairmont on Friday June 17, 2016, from 11AM until 12:30 PM. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Friday June 17, 2016, at 12:30 PM with Pastors Richard Wilson and Skip Vincent officiating.
