Obituary of Dixie Joan Davis

Dixie Joan Davis, 91, passed away on Wednesday, April 29, 2020 at her residence. She was born November 10, 1928 in Fairmont, WV, daughter of the late George and Lou Davis. Dixie lived with her loving parents until they passed, then moved into Fairmont Healthcare and Rehabilitation and they became like family. The family would like to thank the many special caregivers that cared for Dixie throughout the years. In spite of her lifelong disabilities, Dixie was a kind, loving soul that always enjoyed a good laugh. She took things in stride and made the best of the situation she was given. Dixie is survived by her brother, George E. Davis; niece, Beth Davis Robinson; brother-in-law, George A. Kolar and niece, Karen Carlone. In addition to her parents, Dixie was preceded in death by her sister, D. Kay Kolar and sister-in-law, Joanne Davis. There will be no public visitation or funeral. All services will be private.
