Obituary of Charles "Chuck" Drake Jr.

Mr. Charles “Chuck” Drake Jr. 69 years of age of Fairmont, WV passed away June 4, 2020 at home with his family by his side. He was born April 19, 1951, the son of the late Charles Drake Sr. and Louise Mugnano Johnson. He is survived by his wife of forty-eight years Linda Neely Drake; two daughters Kimberly Drake Burr and companion Albert Coberly and Crystal Drake Frost; three grandchildren Austin Burr, Deven Frost and Ashlyn Frost and companion Derek Heldreth; siblings Robert Drake and his wife Carol, Michael Drake, Joyce Martin and Tina Hose and a step-mother Rosemary Drake. In addition to his parents, Chuck was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Patsy and Beatrice Mugnano and his paternal grandparents, Charles and Rosa Drake. Chuck was a 1969 graduate of East Fairmont High School. He was a thirty year member of Fairmont Police Reserves and was employed by Fairmont Supply for over thirty-five years. He was an avid fan for his two favorite teams the West Virginia Mountaineers and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Chuck was a member of Highland Avenue United Methodist Church and a member of the United Methodist Men. Should you be able to celebrate his life, the family will receive friends at the Ford Funeral Home, R.C. Jones Chapel, 1410 Country Club Road, Fairmont, WV on Monday from 2:00 PM – 8:00 PM. The funeral service will be celebrated in the funeral home on Tuesday, June 9, 2020 at 1 PM with Reverend Larry Buckland presiding.
