Obituary of James "Jimmy" Lee Figler

James “Jimmy” Lee Figler, 61, of Clarksburg, West Virginia, passed away Friday, December 4, 2020, in the United Hospital Center, Bridgeport, WV, after a lifelong battle with epilepsy. He was born April 2, 1959, in Fairmont, WV, the son of Francis James Figler of Fairmont, WV, and the late Neva L. Cottrill Figler. He is survived by three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Catherine S. and Ronald Eagle of Bridgeport, WV, Connie L. and Thomas Howes of Fairmont, WV, and Karen K. Chastain of Gastonia, N.C., as well as his nephews, Michael Waller and Justin Waller, and his niece, Stephanie and her husband Kyle Whisenhunt. Jimmy was a 1978 graduate of Fairmont Senior High School and formerly attended the Fleming Memorial Presbyterian Church in Fairmont, and later attended the Fairmont Seventh Day Adventist Church. He enjoyed Christian music, drawing, taking trips to the beach, and watching the WVU games as well as the Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers teams. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Ford Funeral Home, R.C. Jones Chapel, 1410 Country Club Road, Fairmont, WV 26554. Private family services will be held with Reverend Robin Ray officiating.
