What an incredibly kind and generous man. I will forever remember spending a month in Barrackville, in the winter, with Uncle Johnny while the miners were on strike. Hotdogs almost every day, shoveling snow, making snow angels, and talking about everything! He loved a good argument/discussion. So many memories over the years and while I’m sad, I’m so thankful to have had the privilege of calling him my uncle. Forever in my heart.

My favorite Uncle, Johnny was a gem of a man. With his adorable giggle, great smile and gentle manner. Visits to Barrackville usually included checking out the garden to see what he had planted that year, sharing the morning newspaper while drinking coffee and sitting on the porch waving at neighbors. One of my favorite memories was "shooting the breeze" while drinking Blue Moons on a Florida beach during a family vacation. Looking forward to seeing you again Uncle John, to worship God together for eternity. Yah boy!

Elmira,Brenda,Mike and Jon Mark, We are so very sorry to hear of John’s passing. He such a nice man.He just seemed so calm I can still see him sitting on the porch when we lived on Joy Lane. During this difficult time, make sure you keep dear in your heart all the great memories of your Husband and Dad. And then also remember the scripture that says, absent from the body present with the Lord ,he is in perfect peace now. Love and prayers Janny and Gary

The best man that I ever had the privilege of being friends with ( and probably the only person on earth that I could beat at golf.). A very warm heart and a great sense oh humor. He will be missed by many here, but he and Bill will be hard at it in heaven. God bless and thanks for everything Wally.
