Obituary of Betty Rae Weiford

Betty Rae Weiford, 92, of Terra Alta, went to be with our Heavenly Father, from her home, on Wednesday, June 14, 2023. She was born on November 18 1930 in Harrison County, a daughter of the late Ray Robinson and Ida Robinson Gates. She was preceded in passing by her husband Arnold Weiford. Betty Rae was a graduate of Lumberport High School, Fairmont State, and later received her Master’s Degree in education from West Virginia University. She worked as an Extension Agent for West Virginia University in Pocahontas County for 35 years. She will be missed so very much by her son Jeff and his wife Cindy, her granddaughter Emily, her great-granddaughter Cambrie, her niece Shelly, and great=niece Tayler. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Anne, and her brother, John. The family would like to express a deep and grateful thank you to Amedisys Hospice and all of their staff for their caring and wonderful assistance, as well as a special thank you to her caregiver who was meant to be there.
