Obituary of Jacqueline "Jackie" Powers

     Jacqueline “Jackie” Ayres Powers, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 31, 2018.  She was born in Huntington, WV on December 12, 1936.  She was the daughter of the late John R. and Rose Marie O’Brien Ayres.  She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond Jack Powers on August 5, 2017.  They had celebrated sixty years of marriage.

     She is survived by a son Jerry Powers and his wife Mary and daughter Jenny Gee.  She will be greatly missed by her four grandsons, Josh Gee and wife Jessica, Justin Gee and wife Rachel, RJ Powers and Ryan Powers and wife Sarah, two granddaughters, Jessie Gee and  Michael, and Jackie Gee and Justin, and eight great grandchildren.  She is also survived by a brother Jim Ayres.

     Jackie graduated from Marshall University with a degree in business.  She was a stay at home mom until she started working with her husband and son at the family business Re/Max Property Center.  Along with her husband, she attended Bridgeport United Methodist Church.  She enjoyed spending time with her friends and giving love to her family.

    Funeral services will be celebrated for the family at the Ford Funeral Home, 215 East Main Street, Bridgeport, WV.  The family requests memorial contributions be made in their mother’s memory to the Humane Society of Harrison County, 2450 Saltwell Road, Shinnston, WV 26431.
